Using the Preferences dialog
To change settings, use the preferences dialog.
If you enable automatic updates, you'll get notified if a new version of Synalyze It! is available and
can update with just one click.
The colors section of the preferences allows you to change the selection colors as you like.
The main selection is the selection in the hex view that will be used for copy & paste.
The secondary selection is the corresponding selection in hex/text view.
In the messages section of the preferences you control the severity of messages written to
the log window and trace file. The trace file is intended mainly for analysis of internal
errors in Synalyze It! (just in case there are any ;).
In the grammars section of the preferences you can control the grammar suggestions for files you open.
Downloaded grammars are stored in "~/Library/Application Support/SynalyzeIt/Grammars". On program start,
all grammars in this folder are scanned an will be offered to open when you open a file that has
a matching UTI or file extension.
